  5. Before you play Backgammon, it is a good idea to make a copy of this
  6. program and put aside the original disk for safekeeping.  Follow the
  7. procedures outlined in your DOS manual.

  11. Please make a distinction between what is public domain and what is user-
  12. supported software (or 'shareware').  We are always suprised at the number
  13. of commercial distribution groups who do not!  Backgammon has always been
  14. user-supported.  That means that future versions will be offered only as a
  15. function of your contributions.
